Tivoli, Copenhagen creates magic for all ages and senses

The 181st summer season of Tivoli Gardens, the world-famous amusement park in Denmark, presents outstanding artists and a rich programme for all ages. "Tivoli caters for everybody. We constantly strive to give our visitors fresh experiences and things to do. Thus, we blend innovative and traditional offers. The culinary industry is currently seeing a lot of new innovations, with pop-up restaurants opening up all over the world working with Michelin-starred chefs that travel to us from all over the world. We continue to collaborate with international ballet, music, and culinary companies. 

This includes ballet choreographed by H. M. Queen Margrethe of Denmark,  classical music, international  fine dining, and gastronomy, in addition to an amazing lineup with world-class performers like Diana Ross, Take That, and Chaka Khan. 

The biggest mistake is not to try. This year, there are a lot more popup restaurant offers and gastronomy for guests, and keeping up the high quality and the high level for the next year. There is not necessarily a need to change everything every year, but it is imperative to maintain a high level.

High level seems as an understatement when Tivoli stages ballet performance created with a touch of royal hand or hosting two to three-starred Michelin Chefs. Mikkel notes that working with so many gifted people and being in such a beautiful setting makes his job as manager understandably motivating. In this setup, the offers appeal to both local and international guests. Tivoli remains the embodiment of Danish Hygge and a source of inspiration for other global theme parks. This air of magic should be created by Tivoli. this entails leaving your guests with a radiant smile and a priceless memory, adds Mikkel.

In 2024, the monuments stand scattered among thrilling rides and in-between Michelin star pop up restaurants, concerts and much anticipated ballet based on the great Hans Christian Andersen tale, with H. M. Queen Margrethe of Denmark, as a choreographer and The Royal Danish Ballet Foundation Soloist Tobias Praetorius, and Composer and Conductor Phillip Faber as producers.

We put focus on sustainability and it has to be part of our DNA, thus it has to be thought as a part of every operation in Tivoli, so it is just something that we do rather than talk about it, we try our best and keep on improving sustainable aspects rather than claiming to be leaders in sustainability. We are focused on rebuilding and improving Tivoli as it is, and making Tivoli ready for the future but with respect for the past. The past is very important. I hope that we will still remain the main tourist attraction in Denmark and a cohesive place for families, where grandparents can bring their grandchildren as Tivoli approaches its 2ooth anniversary.

the nation’s largest tourist attraction includes the Tivoli Garden & Flower Festival (from 31st of August – 15th of September), the Summer Classical festival, featuring some of the world’s finest classical musicians performing works by Brahms, Chopin, Bach, the Boulanger sisters, Tchaikovsky...  The New York City Ballet, will grace the  Tivoli Concert Hall A stellar lineup of hashtag Danish and international pop and rock stars will grace the Open-Air Stage for Friday Rock concerts every Friday at 22:00 from 12 April to 20 September. Among them are also soul and pop icon Diana Ross on August 9th , while the queen of funk, Chaka Khan, performed on July 12th.
