India returns to the Venice Biennale in 2026, after seven-year-long hiatus, with an immense art pavilion curated by Dr. Amin Jaffer, Director of The Al Thani Collection, showcasing art that explores the theme of 'home, heritage and a country in transition. Yet, they are united by the idea of ‘home’ trough various art mediums. BVLGARI Becomes Exclusive Partner of la Biennale in 2026 For the next three editions until 2030, reaffirming its enduring relationship with art and its commitment to creativity as an expression of freedom that connects the dialogue between cultures, innovation and beauty, "It is an opportunity to celebrate the power of creativity and reaffirm the Maison's commitment to artistic excellence, where inspiration meets mastery," explains Laura Burdese, Deputy CEO of Bvlgari. The Roman Maison pays tribute to the Biennale Arte 2026 with the presentation of a major commission by the artist Lotus L. Kang at the Bvlgari Pavilion at Spazio Esedra in Giardini. Lotus L. Kang is known for multi-layered spatial installations in which organic, structural, and metabolic visual languages merge with each other. Working between sculpture, photography and site-specific installation, Kang draws on fragile, unstable materials. For the Biennale Arte 2026, the artist is developing a new installation produced especially for the Bvlgari Pavilion, which continues her ongoing exploration of time as a non-linear, contingent structure and lends a spatial dimension to questions of "becoming". Bvlgari's participation in the Arte 2026 Biennale – In Minor Keys by Koyo Kouoh – marks a significant new chapter in the Maison's creative expression. Bvlgari has always understood the support of creative practice as the promotion of freedom, combining the preservation of historical heritage with the active promotion of contemporary positions, including through the MAXXI Bvlgari Prize, the partnership with the Whitney Biennial and the Fondazione Bvlgari. "Bvlgari is honoured to be the exclusive partner of the Arte Biennale for the next three editions. This partnership represents the renewal of a concrete commitment to the promotion of art – understood as dialogue, innovation and the pursuit of a universal language that conveys beauty," explains Laura Burdese, Deputy CEO of Bvlgari The world's leading art fair will open to the public on 9th May 2026 until late November 2026, where visitors of the 61st International Art Exhibition can see 110 invited artists and 100 national participations of countries with new participations that include Republic of Guinea, Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Republic of Nauru, Qatar, Republic of Sierra Leone, Federal Republic of Somalia, Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. Participating for the first time with their own pavilion: El Salvador. CONTRASTING CLIMATE CHANGE La Biennale di Venezia is working concretely towards the crucial goal of fighting climate change, by promoting a more sustainable model for the design, installation and operation of all its events. Since 2021, La Biennale di Venezia has launched a plan to reconsider all of its activities in light of recognized and consolidated principles of environmental sustainability. From 2022 to 2024, La Biennale has obtained carbon neutrality certification (PAS 2060). For the year 2025, the goal was to obtain certification for the calculation of the carbon footprint, in accordance with the new ISO 14067 standard, for all of La Biennale’s scheduled activities with particular attention to the International Architecture Exhibition. For all the events, the most important component of the overall carbon footprint involves the mobility of the visitors. In this sense, La Biennale will engage again in 2026 in a communication campaign to raise the awareness of the participating public. La Biennale is still committed to achieve the goal of neutralising the carbon impact of its events, by working in to reducing the emissions under its own control, and to offset residual emissions by purchasing certified carbon credits. Among the measures adopted are from the use of renewable energy; to vegetarian options and locally sourced products; and the use of low impact transport.
