- Today Mandarin Oriental Appoints Barbara Göttling As General Manager Of Mandarin Oriental, Munich, describing it as a New Chapter In Female Leadership: Barbara Göttling Succeeds Marc Epper of Mandarin Oriental, Munich. Born in Vienna, Barbara Göttling brings more than 20 years of international experience in luxury hospitality. Most recently, she served as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Prague, where she drove the hotel's strategic development and successfully strengthened its position as an internationally recognised destination with a strong local identity.
 
Throughout her global career, Ms Göttling has held senior leadership roles across Sales, Marketing and Operations with renowned hotel groups including Hyatt and Accor. Her approach to contemporary luxury combines operational excellence and strategic insight with an intuitive understanding of people and a deep commitment to distinguished hospitality. In addition, she is actively engaged as a mentor and participates in a range of networks and communities dedicated to empowering and sustainably supporting women in the hospitality industry.
 
In her new role, Barbara Göttling will lead the continued strategic evolution of Mandarin Oriental, Munich, further reinforcing its position as one of Europe's leading luxury hotels. Her focus will include the creation of highly personalised guest experiences, fostering an authentic connection to the city of Munich, and the ongoing development of a service culture defined by mindfulness, precision and timeless elegance.

Subin Dharman, newly appointed General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Taipei
, leads with a vision to deliver legendary service and further elevate the hotel's distinction as the city's most refined luxury address.
Earlier Mandarin Oriental, Taipei announced the appointment of Subin Dharman as General Manager, effective 1 May 2026. In his new role, Subin will embody transformational leadership and lead the team as it continues to elevate Mandarin Oriental's legacy of legendary service and innovative guest experiences in Taipei.
 
With more than two decades of senior leadership experience in international luxury hospitality across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, the United States, and Europe, Subin brings extensive operational expertise and a strongly people‑centric leadership approach to Mandarin Oriental, Taipei.  Prior to his appointment, Subin served as General Manager of W Bali, Seminyak from April 2024. He previously held the position of General Manager at The Ritz‑Carlton, Bali from 2022 to 2024, and at The Ritz‑Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place from 2019 to 2022. His career also includes senior leadership roles as Hotel Manager at The Ritz‑Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan, and as Executive Assistant Manager of Food and Beverage at The Ritz‑Carlton St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands and The Ritz‑Carlton Doha in Qatar. He also served as Director of Food and Beverage at Hotel Missoni in Kuwait City. Earlier in his career, Subin held leadership roles in food and beverage with Radisson Blu, Sheraton, and Le Méridien.
 
Subin is a seasoned hospitality leader whose leadership philosophy centres on people, brand culture, and purposeful excellence. He is deeply committed to empowering teams, cultivating a strong service‑led culture, and fostering collaboration across all functions to consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences while driving sustainable performance.

These pursuits reinforce his belief in balanced living and his commitment to thoughtful, engaging hospitality experiences.

On 08 Apr 2026 Mandarin Oriental, Paris Announced New General Manager And Comprehensive Transformation Programme, Ushering In A New Era Of Contemporary Parisian Luxury - Mandarin Oriental announced the appointment of Vincent Poulingue as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Paris, effective 18 May 2026. His arrival coincides with the unveiling of an ambitious, property-wide transformation programme, signalling a new era for one of the capital's most prestigious addresses.

Bringing over two decades of international luxury hospitality leadership, Vincent Poulingue joins Mandarin Oriental from the iconic Hôtel du Palais Biarritz, where he currently serves as General Manager. His career spans globally recognised brands including Hyatt's The Unbound Collection, InterContinental Hotels Group and Barrière Group. Having held senior leadership roles across France, Portugal, Switzerland and French Polynesia, he is widely recognised for his expertise in repositioning landmark properties, delivering operational excellence and guests' delight.
 
Vincent holds an MBA in International Hospitality Management from IMHI (Cornell University–ESSEC Business School. He brings a truly international perspective aligned with Mandarin Oriental's global brand and local soul. He will report to Philippe Kronberg, AVP Operations.
 
His appointment comes at a pivotal moment as Mandarin Oriental, Paris embarks on a comprehensive and very ambitious renovation programme designed to re-invent and elevate every aspect of the guest experience. The transformation will encompass all guestrooms and suites, bathrooms, public spaces, Spa and all dining destinations.

The reimagining of the hotel's culinary offering will introduce three distinct concepts: a new bar, a brasserie-style restaurant and a refined gourmet restaurant, each overlooking the famous hotel's serene internal garden. These spaces are envisioned by the acclaimed architectural studio Humbert & Poyet, whose work blends Parisian elegance with contemporary clarity.
 
Guestrooms and suites, alongside all public areas, will be redesigned by London-based architect Tara Bernerd, celebrated for her ability to craft residential-style interiors that embody both sophistication and comfort. The design approach will express the essence of destination, capturing the spirit of Paris while highlighting Mandarin Oriental's commitment to craftsmanship and exceptional detail. Renovation works will commence at the end of October 2026 and will be executed in carefully orchestrated phases, ensuring Mandarin Oriental, Paris remains fully operational throughout. This considered approach reflects the brand's commitment to preserving its legendary service, allowing guests to continue enjoying exceptional experiences with minimal disruption as the transformation unfolds.
