It was an intense period, just 10 days later, she was diagnosed with adenomyoma. Six months after that, they got engaged on January 31, 2025, in Tuscany, after Andrea proposed. Their first wedding was on September 18 in Ischia, Italy. She told Vogue, “We had this dream to do our wedding in Italy,” Venus explains. “But we didn’t have enough time to do the paperwork—because I’m a foreigner, it can take about eight months. So we decided to have a second wedding.”

This second wedding, held in Palm Beach this weekend before Christmas, was planned by Jennifer Zabinski of JZ Events, who also organized her sister Serena’s 2017 wedding, the week of events started a full six days before the ceremony and featured a jam-packed itinerary—along with lots of windy weather. “They always say weddings go so fast, and they do,” Venus says. “We started on Monday. Serena gave us this gift of a beautiful yacht, and she arranged all the food, everything. We had 10 to 12 of our closest family and friends who were in town on the boat, and we were singing, dancing, gossiping, and just enjoying each other.”

The Emilia Pérez star, whose film is up for Best Picture among its 13 nominations, stepped out in a dazzling ensemble fitting for her first time at the Academy Awards.
Gomez, who is presenting, wore a custom evening gown by Ralph Lauren that was impressive in design and in technique (it was made by the hands of 12 artisans!).
According to the label, the bespoke design featured hand-embroidered details, hand-sewn Rosemont crystals and "more than 16,000 drops of glass" embellishments. The romantic pink ombré finish was perfected with an airbrushing technique to add dimension. Gomez's dress also featured off-the-shoulder straps that created an elegant neckline that made room for her stunning necklace and drop earrings to shine.

After months of anticipation, the Oscars 2025 are happening tonight—the capstone to a uniquely unpredictable season where no single film has emerged as a dependable front-runner. As the 2025 Academy Awards ceremony, hosted by Conan O’Brien and airing at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on ABC and Hulu, approaches, we still aren’t totally positive which film will be named best picture, or who will win the tightest best-actor race in recent memory—though we’ve done our best to predict both outcomes.
