Before the world could enjoy the big Oscars night, Charles Finch and CHANEL hosted their 16th annual Pre-Oscar Awards dinner in Beverly Hills on March 1st, 2025, the day before. During all these years, it has been a night for nominees, actors, directors, producers, writers, musicians, and Hollywood influencers to gather for an intimate dinner at the iconic Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The next day, on the big night of the 97th Annual Academy Awards on March 2, several celebrities once more seized the chance to dazzle in high-end jewelry and Chanel couture ensembles. Actress QUALLEY wore a custom black silk velvet long dress with a train and an open back inspired by look 90 from the CHANEL Spring-Summer Ready-to Wear 2005 collection and CHANEL shoes. 153 hours of work were required in the making of this dress adorned with CHANEL High Jewelry: “Motif Russe” necklace in 18K white gold, diamonds “Étoile Filante” bracelet in white gold and diamonds “Impression Florale” earrings in 18 K white gold with diamonds “Pluie de Comètes” ring in 18K white gold and diamonds “Ruban” ring in 18K white gold and diamonds. Fernanda TORRES, Brazilian actress nominated for the Best Actress Award for her role in the movie “I’m Still Here”, the movie that won in the International Feature Film category for Brazil. Torres wore a Long dress in black mesh and guipure with a black silk chiffon skirt adorned with ruffles embroidered with feathers and a black mesh and embellished with jeweled buttons, and a guipure jacket ennobled with sequins, look 42, from the CHANEL Spring-Summer 2025 collection and CHANEL shoes. Information on the dress, 450 hours of work and around 2000 embroidery elements were required in the making of this dress.
