Chaumet and the environmentAs a « Naturalist Jeweller » since its beginnings, Chaumet cannot stand by and watch the disappearance of flora and fauna essential to life and to the creativity of tomorrow. Aware of the role we have to play, our Maison is actively implementing concrete actions to preserve natural resources, and support all those who depend on them.
Chaumet, a committed jeweller in partnership with WWF FranceAs devoted to preserving our historical heritage as we are to safeguarding our living heritage, in 2025 the Maison is signing a sponsorship partnership with WWF France for the first time in its history. Together, we are working to protect French forests and the fauna and flora that thrive there through the Nature Impact initiative. This unique project, which marks the beginning of our partnership with WWF, will be followed by two initiatives in Japan and China, further strengthening our global commitment to the preservation of nature. Reforest'ActionSince 2023, Chaumet has been supporting Reforest’Action and taking concrete action by financing an assisted natural regeneration project in the Chantilly forest, a classified heritage forest that is now under threat. Thanks to this project, the forest’s resilience to climate change is being strengthened. The LVMH initiative – LIFE 360Proud to be part of the LVMH Group, Chaumet is committed to upholding the initiatives set out in the Group’s environmental roadmap, LIFE 360. The programme sets ambitious targets for 2026 and 2030 around four key pillars. BiodiversityBecause our creations and craftsmanship are intimately linked to nature, Chaumet is committed to ensuring that 100% of its strategic raw materials are certified by 2026 according to standards that guarantee the preservation of ecosystems and water resources. Climate StrategyIn accordance with the Paris Agreement on climate change, Chaumet has implemented a series of actions aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions from energy consumption across its sites and stores by 50% by 2026. The Maison is also working towards operating entirely on renewable energy by 2030. CircularityConvinced that circularity and creativity go hand in hand, Chaumet is embracing ever more inventive ways to offer sustainable solutions. For 2025, the Maison is unveiling an eco-designed display inspired by the Chaumet Bee collection. Made from 95% cardboard, the structure lowers carbon impact by reducing the number of materials used, facilitating transport thanks to its light weight and extending the display’s lifespan. TransparencyTo trace the journey of a raw material from its source to its use, Chaumet is continuing its efforts to ensure responsible sourcing, adhering to stringent certifications and criteria aligned with the highest standards in the industry. Chaumet, a certified jewellerA member of the Responsible Jewellery Council since 2005, Chaumet is audited every 3 years to ensure that their practices adhere to the rigorous standards of responsibility and ethics required by this certification. In line with the Kimberley Process, Chaumet is also committed to combatting the exploitation of blood diamonds, stones illegally mined in areas ravaged by armed conflict. |
