CORNES DE VACHE COLLECTION
References « White Sector », « Salmon Sector », & « Blue Sector » Furlan Marri presents the Cornes de Vache collection, with three automatic references, each distinguished by a unique sector dial design: the White Sector, Salmon Sector, and Blue Sector. Three distinctive sector dials The sector dial design, first introduced in the 1930s, is characterized by concentric circles and radial lines that enhance legibility and balance. Today, it remains a timeless aesthetic, bridging functionality and vintage elegance. Furlan Marri interprets this design through three references: • White Sector • Salmon Sector • Blue Sector The three references share the same sector layout, with all indications executed through double stamping, while applied Breguet-style indexes add depth and relief. Each dial carries its own personality, showcasing variations such as a finely grained surface, hands in dark gunmetal PVD or in blued steel, highlighting the diversity of finishes across the collection. Each reference of the collection features a sapphire crystal with multi-layer anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint coatings, protecting the dial. Refined steel case with cow-horn lugs The stainless-steel case is constructed in several stages. Particular attention is given to the separate cow-horn lugs, with all finishing completed before assembly. They are connected by a bridge visible at 6 and 12 o’clock. First seen in the 1940s, « cow-horn » lugs are known for their curved shape and separate construction - a distinctive lug design from which the collection takes its name. In line with our attention to detail, the lugs feature dual spring-bar positions, ensuring the strap fits perfectly with either straight or curved bars. The bezel finishes are also done independently before being fitted to the case, while alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces highlight the case profile. Inside, circular graining extends from the bezel to the decagonal screw-down caseback, engraved with the brand’s name. Prominent crown notches recall vintage watchmaking codes. Swiss-made automatic calibre At the heart of the three referencesbeats an automatic movement crafted by La Joux-Perret in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Chosen for its reliability and refined construction, the calibre is finished to the highest standards. It is equipped with a tungsten rotor coated in palladium for optimum weight distribution and winding efficiency, delivering a 68-hour power reserve and regulated to within ±7 seconds per day. Decorations include Geneva stripes, snailing, blued screws, and a rotor engraved with the Furlan Marri motto « Crafted with care, designed for details. » |
