A sample of the upcoming trends on show at the tenth edition of GemGenève: Dynamic International’s cabochon diamonds, hair jewellery by AMTC, the work of Belgian designer Jochen Leën, the Happy Gems collection from lapidary Herbert Stephan KG and antique faceting by US firm Poli Trading Company. The French are now developing a taste for larger pearls - the fashion for Tahitian pearls has introduced them to this new size. Alain Boite We’ll be displaying the largest cabochon diamond ever faceted, weighing in at around 12 carats. Not only that, we’ll be featuring D/E VVS calibrated cabochon diamonds in diameters of 3.5-6mm. Punya Malpani, Dynamic International Long neglected in favour of modern brilliance, antique cut diamonds are now regaining their former status, demonstrating that true beauty resides in imperfection. Glittering Gems There is presently a major shift towards diversity and vivid colours in solitaire jewels; our brand is dedicated to enhancing niche precious stones and minerals. Jochen Leën What really sets us apart is our keen eye for rare and beautiful items. We don’t slavishly follow trends: we seek out timeless quality. Reuben Khafi, AMTC |
