The Grand Dîner du Louvre is a philanthropic gala combining art, fashion and fine dining, organized at the Louvre Museum to support its activities and celebrate the "Louvre Couture" exhibition. The first Grand Dîner du Louvre was held on March 4, 2025, coinciding with Paris Fashion Week , and is inspired by the famous Met Gala in New York. The debut event in 2025 brought together more than 350 guests from the worlds of fashion, art, film and music, in the Cour Marly of the museum, offering an exceptional setting for this gala dinner. For the second year running, CHANEL was present at the Grand Dîner du Louvre, a philanthropic event organised by the Parisian museum. The aim of this annual gala dinner is to help support the Louvre's heritage missions thanks to the funds raised during the evening. The 2026 edition of the Grand Dîner du Louvre was held on Tuesday 3rd March 2026, the day after the opening of Paris Fashion Week. Goals and Philanthropy The event aimed to raise funds for the museum and its activities, with an initial goal of 1 million euros. Thanks to the support of Visa Infinite and many fashion houses and sponsors, the evening raised 1.4 million euros, far exceeding expectations. The funds contribute to the preservation of the Louvre's heritage and to the financing of cultural activities. Gastronomy and entertainment The dinner was orchestrated by Michelin-starred chef Anne-Sophie Pic, offering an exceptional dining experience. The evening continued with an after-party under the Pyramid of I. M. Pei, for more than 300 guests gathered together in the Daru Gallery, at the foot of the Winged Victory of Samothrace, for a dinner orchestrated by chef Anne-Sophie Pic. With this year's theme being ‘The Louvre at Night,’ attendees were invited to partake in a unique night time tour of the world's largest art museum to discover its masterpieces. Guests who attended the soiree alongside important figures of Paris’ cultural scene united in its unwavering commitment to culture, the House of CHANEL underlines how proud it is to be associated with this major event celebrating the arts, heritage and creativity. Louvre Museum with the exhibition "Louvre Couture »The Grand Dîner was organized to celebrate the exhibition "Louvre Couture: Objets d'art, objets de mode", visible from January to July 2025. This exhibition presents 71 silhouettes and some thirty accessories on loan from 45 prestigious fashion houses (Prada, Loewe, Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, Schiaparelli, Jacquemus...), in dialogue with the museum's historical collections. It explores the links between contemporary creation and artistic heritage, offering a unique immersion in the world of fashion. The event is now part of the calendar of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, reinforcing its role in the promotion of fashion and culture in Paris.
