Heartbeats by Baum und Pferdgarten
On Wednesday, 29th January, at 19:00 CET, Baum und Pferdgarten unveiled their Autumn Winter 2025 collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week.

Baum und Pferdgarten’s Autumn Winter 2025 collection, “Heartbeats”, is a love letter to free-spirited individuality and the thrill of embracing what makes the heart skip a beat. Inspired by the contrasts between the serene charm of the British countryside and the expressive vibrancy of more retro and rustic times, the collection brings together cherished elements in a playful, “no rules” philosophy.
Creative directors Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave weave together a tapestry of textures, patterns, and silhouettes that feel both deeply personal and effortlessly bold.

“Heartbeats is about capturing the thrill of what makes our hearts beat, the quiet charm of the British countryside, and bold, nostalgic elements. We wanted to create a collection that feels personal and expressive, full of pieces that resonate and inspire creativity in how we dress.”

- Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave, Creative Directors

The collection is all about mixing what we love. Checks layered with leopards, richly textured knits, and embellishments that sparkle with joy. From suits and structured vests to the soft rebellion of mesh and corduroy, the collection is an ode to expressive, boundary blurring style. The Harrington jacket nods to classic British tailoring, while patterned knits and tartan inspired patterns reflect the collection’s countryside inspiration. Each piece tells its own story, yet they all come together in a celebration of contrasts: rugged meets refined, tradition meets the unexpected.

A warm, earthy palette of brown and plum grounds the collection, with touches of texture and pattern that bring depth and delight. “Heartbeats” is an invitation to dress without rules, embrace what resonates, and celebrate the beauty in the eclectic.

The “Heartbeats” collection was presented for the first time on January 29th, 2025 during Copenhagen Fashion Week. The show took place in our HQ district at Vognmagergade, located in the vibrant new design area in central Copenhagen. The runway show unfolded in a raw, industrial space, transformed by set designer Nikolaj Lorentz Mentze of Studio 0405. Just before showtime, massive inflatable hearts expanded in the room, pressing against the ceiling, while overhead circular lights cast spots of light throughout the room. The contrast between the rustic venue and the bold set design mirrored the collection’s spirit.
The runway cast featured a mix of models and friends of the house, some of whom have previously walked for Baum und Pferdgarten, alongside exciting new faces. Make-up was provided by M.A.C. Cosmetics Nordics, and hair was styled by Oribe.

Adding an artistic layer to the presentation, longtime friend of the house, artist Lulu Kaalund, designed exclusive showpieces for the runway.

“The inspiration came to me very naturally when I first saw the collection. My process is very organic and instinctive, which also feels true for the Heartbeats collection. I find inspiration in my surroundings, details, colors, and textures that catch my eye. Crochet allows me to freeze that inspiration into something tangible - something that bridges craftsmanship and modern aesthetics. My connection with Baum und Pferdgarten has always been close, so working on this felt like a natural extension of that. Each piece was made specifically for the collection, as a little kiss from me.”

- Lulu Kaalund, Artist

A runway-exclusive T-shirt was also showcased during the show. This limited-edition piece will be available for immediate purchase on Baum und Pferdgarten’s webshop and at the Copenhagen Flagship Store shortly after the show.
