The 28th edition of the most prestigious polo tournament in the Alps was held under the official timekeeping of Hublot. The best international riders battled it out in the heights of Gstaad, offering a captivating spectacle in the exceptional setting of the Swiss mountains. A flagship event of the Alpine summer, the Hublot Polo Gold Cup Gstaad once again transformed Gstaad-Saanenland Airport into an exceptional stage for the noblest of equestrian sports. At 1,000 meters above sea level, surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Bernese Alps, this unique competition in the world continues to attract the international elite of polo, the oldest and most noble of sports, popular among well travelled sport lovers from all Switzerland and the World. Joining the event this year are guests like Xenia Tchoumi, Katie Degas, Corinna Nebgen von Klitzing the Founder and Creative Director of Deluxe Dynasty, and many more stylish polo fans. The Hublot Polo Gold Cup Gstaad saw four teams of renowned international players compete. These teams, composed of four members each, battled for victory in three-round matches, divided into four chukkers – seven-minute quarters precisely timed by Hublot, partner of the event since 2007. The Big Bang Unico 42 mm houses the Manufacture MHUB1280 chronograph movement at the heart of its 42 mm diameter case, the iconic Unico caliber equipped with a flyback chronograph with column wheel. The first mechanical movement developed in-house by Hublot and the subject of no fewer than 5 patents, Unico has revolutionized time measurement thanks to an innovative approach that fundamentally rethinks traditional watchmaking architecture, a technical feat guaranteeing performance, precision and reliability. The Big Bang One Click 33 mm, meanwhile, embodies feminine elegance thanks to its 33 mm case and bezel set with 36 diamonds. Both models are available in Petrol Blue or Mint Green. Ultimately, it was the Gstaad Palace team that prevailed! Valiant players of the winning team, Markus Graeff, Tommy Graeff, Francisco Fucci and Martín Podestá (image above) were each awarded a Hublot watch bearing the engraving "Hublot Polo Gold Cup Gstaad Winner." Ambassadors and friends of the Hublot brand were present, including actors Cyril Metzger and Giuseppe Maggio, and entrepreneur Xenia Tchoumi, who joined the spectators to participate in the traditional divot stomping on the field between each chukker, during which children of all ages repair the marks left by the horses' hooves by replacing the clumps of earth that have been torn away. "For 17 years, the partnership between Hublot and the Gstaad Polo has reflected common values that have fostered a deep and vibrant connection, driven by passion, friendship and trust. More than just a partnership, this relationship born of a shared vision has enabled the creation of experiences blending tradition and innovation, beyond sport and watchmaking. A true embodiment of the Art of Fusion, a notion shared by both this formidable event and the Hublot Manufacture," announces Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot. Xenia Tchoumi Katie Degas.
