Louis Vuitton Cruise 2027 Show at New York’s fine art gallery as the House of Louis Vuitton follows in steps of Chanel (2025), and Gucci this week which held its 2027 show at the Times Square... LV is officially bringing its Cruise 2027 show to New York City. It was on Thursday, May 14, the French fashion house announced that Nicolas Ghesquière’s upcoming Cruise collection will be presented on May 20, 2026, at The Frick Collection on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, overlooking the posh neighbourhood and the Central Park. The Moment Felix Arrived, Cameras Went Wild. Felix member of kpop group straykids, A story of two cities. For the #LouisVuitton Cruise 2027 collection, Nicolas Ghesquière creates connections – between the different identities and realities of Paris and New York, as well as between the different worlds within this city, their dichotomies and dualities. New York has always been made up of diverse identities, a fusion of divergent cultures and experiences. Never unambiguous, but an amalgam of uptown and downtown, past and future, a place of different sensations and simultaneous attitudes. Beautiful contradictions, perfect contrasts. Therein lies the luxury of the homage. As a pop-cultural experience, New York in the twenty-first century has an inherent universality – a place of longing, at the same time a travel destination and a starting point for cultural impulses. Louis Vuitton is characterized by a similar universality – known and understood worldwide. Pop Art, Pop Culture and Pop Luxury: the idea of the popular as a powerful medium to convey messages to everyone. The discovery of a leather trunk from the 1930s in the Louis Vuitton archives – radically redesigned into an actual canvas by contemporary American artist Keith Haring – links Louis Vuitton to Pop Art. This chance encounter becomes a central source of inspiration: a selection of Haring's works can be found on clothing and accessories. These, in turn, once again serve as canvases, honoring Haring's distinctive imagery and legacy. Journeys between spaces, journeys between epochs. Here, the journey between identities becomes a journey of discovery. Between the salons of the Frick – a charged and meaningful environment, embedded in this metropolis, a place that makes it possible to experience other times and experiences. Just as Frick celebrates French decorative art from an American perspective, here different expressions of American style are framed by French savoir-faire – in an ongoing dialogue. Craftsmanship is able to refine reality and sublimate real wardrobes. Jeans, jersey and leather – a heritage of American style is reinterpreted here. In the American wardrobe lies the idea of American women and their character: dynamic, free and energetic. The depth of European cultural history and the breadth of the modern American experience – Old Masters and Pop Art, Old and New Worlds – are celebrated here at the same time. Different connections, unexpected intersections. Different eras and identities of New York coexist in the looks, as well as in the fabric of the city itself. Fragments of pop culture—slot machines, car bodies, punched leather—and echoes of Gilded Age grandeur are recontextualized, embedded in clothing, or recreated as accessories: ways to honor their memory. The colors are vibrant, brilliant and optimistic. Graffiti-like passementerie or sequin embroidery create unexpected lace and lacing effects. New York show guests photo call on 20 May 2026.
