Louis Vuitton makes a Spring Summer 2027 show with a big splash - literally. To elevate this
Dandy Experience envisioned by for Louis Vuitton by Pharrell Williams where the surfing theme is put on steroids with a giant wave as the background to the show and complete with fully sand covered show set, where the guests should have ideally arrived barefoot instead in next season Louis Vuitton chunky leather boots. Alias the lucky local beach ball clubs will get all this sand donated and the Maison has launched several other sustainable initiatives to polish its leading sustainable luxury brand image. The Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2027 Collection for Men takes up this idea and sees the sea and coast as places of common belonging. Water runs through the show as a motif, representing life, opportunity and the connection to nature, plus the moon in the Parisian evening sky, and the collection comes from the emblem of a great wave.

The surfer aesthetic is characterized by coast and sea and is based on travel, function and craftsmanship. Creative Director Pharrell Williams combines these values with the dandy style of the Maison: Seine typical dandy silhouette – unconventionally elegant, casually refined – he adds hand-spun textures, sea-inspired ornamentation and the bohemian spirit of surf culture With the savoir-faire of Louis Vuitton this becomes a technically well-thought-out tailoring art for the world-traveling dandy between town and surf.

Technical wetsuits encounter functional suit materials. The typical pieces and materials from surfers' everyday lives –with their worn, weathered and patched features – are characterized by the savoir-faire of Louis Vuitton reinterpreted. In his ongoing discussion of Trompe-l'oeil Pharrell Williams familiar textures, shapes and basics with artistic craftsmanship, creating optical illusions that only become apparent when touched. Surface decors are created elaborately by hand. From bright colors to chessboard patterns, the graphics inspired by surf culture also point to skateboarding – a formative influence of the creative director.

At the dunes of the show stands a silver camper, reinterpreted in the flowing, future-oriented design language of Pharrell Williams. The glass structure brings the surfer into direct contact with the elements of a nomadic life determined by water. A cinematic prelude shows the surfers Mikey February and Julian Wilson, while guests in Paris are greeted by the sound of the big wave. A specially composed soundtrack is heard Pharrell Williams recorded parallel to the collection in his Louis Vuitton studio. The show becomes a decidedly sensual production of Louis Vuitton's male world: the Dandy Experience.

Supported in the collection Louis Vuitton as part of its sustainability strategy Regeneration 2030 the Coral Gardeners organization in the restoration of reefs in French Polynesia. The project is promoting the planting of 1,000 corals at the Tiaia restoration site and is expected to help restore 250 square metres of reef in 2026.
